40F? It's time for glacial rocks!

We have arrived in Rochestah, New Hampshah. Oh my GAWD I love this accent. I have to say it is creepy like Grey Gardens but funny like you can't believe and then my whole thought process of New Yankee Workshop is going to have to change. Geez, Norm Abram... maybe I can handle you afterall!
Got in a few days ago and unpacked the trailer. Got my first customer at Uhaul. Well my 1st once I actually start work. I have called and haven't actually gotten a call back from the new bossman. Kinda freakin' but not too much. Anyway, we've gotten a lot of our stuff unpacked. Every blanket we own is on the bed and the heatdish is at the foot of the bed. I can't believe how cold it seems to get here. This heating oil bullshit is not the best of man's ingenuity. The house is large, and loud and the doors dont work well and the floors creak and I could go on and on. It has a lot of charm and I can't wait to see how much snow we get!
This week we went to the Atlantic Ocean and had our fisrt lobster roll. Yummy!!! It was like 6 lobsters on a roll with mayonaise and lettuce. We were in heaven. We visited the fake Hamptons (south and north hampton, new hampshire)
It was a rainy foggy day so the surfer's were out. It was embarassing to see them after living in Los Angeles. The waves were so weak and small and yet they rode them in to shore! hahaha I'll get pictures next time we go out!
Today we went on a roadsideamerica.com adventure! Jeremie and I headed up to Madison, NH to see the largest glacial rock deposited in the USA. The ride up was easy peasy. We programmed into TomTom and let Eddie Izzard take us to the "rock". The Madison Boulder is about 3 stories tall and amazingly gianormous. We trekked through the woods all around the rock and took some great pictures, we ate our picnic lunch and decided to head across the state through the White Mountain National Forest on the Kancamagus Highway towards the Hobo Railroad. This was a breathtaking drive! Raging river, covered bridges, waterfalls, forest, views: orgasmic!!!

Halfway to Home

I'm sitting in Allegan, Michigan this morning at my grandma's laptop.
The scary wildlife bird clock (as seen on tv) is chirping the White Throated Sparrow; it's 10 a.m. I am showered, email is checked, bank account has been perused, myspace has been updated. I am ready to begin the day, and plan the next half of our travels.

We began on Friday, October 31st. We drove off to Prescott Valley, AZ after packing up the trailer... well we packed the trailer twice. I requested a 5' x 8' trailer and after filling it up we realized there just was not enough room for all of our remaining stuff. I had to call and upgrade to the 6' x 12' trailer. We unpacked the small and repacked into the large. We got out of town about 6ish. So off to PV to meet Jeremie's "new" grandma Jane.
We stayed with her until Saturday about mid afternoon. She was so happy to meet Jeremie after all these years and after a bit of getting to know one another and hearing some interesting stories of family disputes, we had a good visit. I think Jeremie was amused by the whole ordeal. Glad to have met her, yet intrigued by her life and holdings of grudges. Who could blame her???

Saturday we drove and drove and ended up just outside of Texas where we slept in the car and slept quite well. The cats have been loud on and off hating every minute of being in their cage. Had a nice stop at the giant trailer siding cross in Groom, Texas. Took some fantastic shots of the bronzed aborted baby fetus!! Gawd, I fucking love this crazy religious shite of the midwest. Jeremie decided that he did not want to lay on the rock in the empty tomb of Jesus, I decided to lay on the rock. Whoohoo! Angels prayed beside me and apparently I will now not die. Muwahahahah!!!

So in Oklahoma City we headed to my grandpa's house. Had a nice lunch on Monday and visited the Crystal Bridge. It's a great indoor biodome suspended over a man made lake. Two stories of tropical goodness, butterflies and fishes with waterfalls and babbling brooks. ahhh, relaxing. We left Oklahoma on Tuesday morning, 7 a.m.

My birthday was filled with driving and calls from family as I did more... DRIVING!! We headed to Fantastic Caverns in Missouri. It's a drive through cave that has been open since the 1800's. It was not so fantastic, but it was a new experience and Jeremie had a great time. We got the standard shot glass and magnet. Got some good photos and memories to share.
