Devil Got My Woman

The Last Wrap

Today was it, the last day of work at Steel Chariots.
Thank the gawds! I tell you, it was like a giant glacial boulder removed from my gut.
Walking out he door was not odd at all. It was like leaving an abusive relationship without any of the bruises, broken bones and bloody noses.
I AM FREE, FREE, FREE!!!

We visited with Jeremie's sister Khrys and her dad Bill for "lunch" which turned into a four hour marathon of family history and melancholy. It was very informative and enlightening. I learned many things about Jerm's mom that I had not known...

On our way home from the lunch at 7:00 p.m. we stopped and got a picture frame and birthday card for our new grandma. According the the Superior Court records of Arizona, her birthday is next week. She needs a picture of Jeremie! A picture she shall get!

Jane

Yesterday afternoon on towards evening I attempted to locate Jeremie's grandmother once more. I have done this several times over the last year and nothing has worked.
First, Kendra's mom helped by doing a court search for her. This lead me to a complete phone number and several addresses and, well, lots of Jane's that ranged in age from 45-89. I didn't know her middle name, I really didn't know her age. The phone number turned out to be a fax machine.
Dead End
Secondly, we finally met Jeremie's grandfather who was to supply some information on his ex wife and I just knew we would be talking away on the phone. Alas, Jeff's stock of information didn't come home with Jeremie after they met. At least Jeremie doesn't remember getting these papers. Jeff remembers giving them.
DEAD END
Just yesterday I log onto US Search dot com and pay $19.95 to get as much information as they may have on Jane. The website says it takes 24 hours to get your results via email. I got mine in less than 2! What luck! Well... not really. I got addresses and variations of her name, as in she may go by her middle name at times. This could be helpful. No phone number, but some addresses in common; from 10 years ago. The most recent address was in Prescott Valley. I did a reverse look up on the address to find a phone number. It worked! I called the number. My heart was racing. I was sick feeling. The woman who answered the phone was rude and didn't want to hear my story of trying to find my grandma and my search on the internet. She said I had the wrong information, the wrong number, the wrong woman.
DEAD END!!!
So damn it. I am determined. We are leaving for New Hampshire on Friday and I will not have Jeremie leave without having met Jane. It is an end all be all for leaving. We will not leave until we have met. That is that.
So I search through the reports again from Kendra's mom. There must be some tidbit of information that I have missed. That tidbit was an address listed 3 separate times. That address turned out to be (thank the gawds for Google) a senior apartment village in Prescott Valley. That apartment complex has a phone number. It was 6:30 p.m., I took my chances that they would possibly be open, that they would break the law and tell me if she was there, that they would not think I was some crazy wackjob calling to kill a resident... The phone rang, I was sick again, I was freaking out, I got an answering machine. The hours are 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. What the hell?!
FIRST PLAUSIBLE LEAD
This morning when I got into work, I picked up my phone and called the number for the apartment complex office. A woman answered and I went into my schpeil about the situation and like I thought she was unable to give me any information about the resident, but would I give her the name of the person I was looking for and so I did. She asked me if I would like to leave a message in case this person was a resident and I said of coarse! And so I gave the hone numbers and the fact that we were moving in 3 days to New Hampshire, and that this was my last ditch effort to find this woman, Jane.
Then the waiting game. The apartment manager said she would take care of this matter right away. Did this mean that Jane did in fact live there? Had I FINALLY found the missing grandmother? How long would I be sitting at my desk dwelling on this? I called the apartment complex at 8:37 a.m. and my wait was over at 9:19 a.m. when Jane called my cell phone and proudly announced, "Hi Emily, this is grandma!"
I FINALLY DID IT!

Double Chins! Attack!!!!

Here it is, the new hairstyle/color/cut/lifestyle enhancer!

I had a great student do my hair last night. She had pink yoga pants and matching pink stripped hair. Whoohoo! She did a fabulous job on the color and the cut is fantastic.
I have a bang on one side and layers and an a-line style.
I can get up and go, no need for fancy curlers or products. It is a dream come true.
All for under $50.00 and that includes Jeremie getting his hair cut as well!
We just spent so much time on the hair that there was no time to get my brows tinted and waxed. Hopefully I can fit that in next week.

In a haze these days

iTunes has let me down today at work. I expected that Apple would know exactly how to solve my problem and get my purchased music playing once again. Oh was I wrong. The automotone in charge of emailing me about my problem sent email after email of scripted crap. Today she told me I should look at something on the Apple help site about a Windows problem, then in the next sentence tells me to read another article about the old version 7.
My problem is on a MAC and I have version 8. V8 it seems is sending many people into tantrums as your purchased music stops playing and it repeatedly asks for authorization.

The bankruptcy hearing for my company is being postponed for possibly a week or more.
This is rather funny because of the fact that I am leaving for New Hampshire on the 10th at 3:10pm. I was under the impression I would not have a job by that date. Now not only do I still have a job, I still have the stress of wondering if I will have a job for much longer. It's not a nice clean break. It's not me on vacation with approved time off... Uh, yeah, not approved... I haven't broken rules like this since I came back to Arizona. It feels good.

I'm trying to get as much money socked away as possible in the next few weeks. Waiting to file my taxes until this past week is a life saver. The government is gunna deposit some nice chunks of change directly into my ING account. There will be an instant $2000 bomb. That just about covers gas money for a drive to New Hampshire towing a trailer. Now for all the other expenses: Tow hitch, wiring harness, food, rental deposit, rent, electric deposit, heat deposit, money for incidentals while looking for a new job... Where will that poof from?

Tonight after work I am going to get my hair chopped off. It is down to the small of my back and it gets stuck in my armpits and I am constantly finding it stuck in my butt crack after showers. The feeling of pulling a lone foot long plus hair from your ass crack is not a pleasant one! It's down right icky! I'm going to a beauty college. It may be a huge mistake, but they can do nothing worse to my hair than what I have already done throughout my lifetime. I want a style and I need it shorter. I want something edgy yet professional for the job search. I want waxed eyebrows!!

Counseling Session #2

Oh, where to begin? There was no big break through today, just the continuation of my family history - still not done! Next week is the relationship information and the telling of tales of disturbia unrelated to my family. There are so many! I won't know where to start. Appointment is same time next week, so look for #3 next Wednesday.

As for today I got to chat with Dawn about the upcoming New Hampshire adventure. Turns out we will be going to a sugar shack, oh baby to a sugar shack! I am overjoyed at getting to go to a place where I can get centered and just chill the fuck out for a few days before returning to the desert to light a fire under my ass and take a step forward.

What step shall it be? Where shall I move next? Somewhere I have been or somewhere completely new? I've called and started researching the installation of a hitch on the Nitro. I don't know how much it should be, but the range is $300 - $650!!! It's a piece of metal bolted to the frame. They don't even have to drill the holes! They are predrilled from the factory!!

If I see the commercial for An American Carole one more time, I'm gunna pop a cap in someone's ass. Jeezis what a stupid movie concept.

Jeremie's mom keeps calling him, again just now, right before we are about to eat tonight! She was early!! He just won't tell his mom why he doesn't want to talk to her. So how does she know not to call?
